Famous for it's thick, firm noodles in a light pork broth topped with delicious pieces of roast pork. However, the shop closes once they sell out the noodles. Therefore, we recommend to visit the shop during lunchtime. The shop is only open for two hours a day but it is worth to visit. |

By using ash of the Gajumaru tree, they make noodles rather firmer and thicker, served in a light soup. The shop was a rest house for Shuri officials in Ryukyu Kingdom over one hundred years ago. Eating a bowl of noodles outside on a fine day certainly gives you a pleasure being in Okinawa. A bowl of noodles costs 500yen.

Famous for serving Soki (spare ribs) soba. They kept traditional way to make noodles by using charcoal. After visiting the Kishimoto's, we recommend to try Zenzai at Arakaki Shokudo which is near by. Zenzai is a sweetened red bean desert served cold in Okinawa, and it is delicious! Even if you are not a fan of red beans, their Zenzai is a must!

The name of soba is often connected with the names of their origins. Daruma Soba serves Miyako style of Soba (Miyako Island, which is located 400KM from the Main Island). The characteristic of Miyako noodles is that they have condiments inside instead of on the top. This soba shop is very popular among cab drivers. It's a small noodle shop but it's famous in town. The miso soup is also worth a try. Just ask a cab driver where it is!
